Wine & The Word
St. Mary of the Assumption Young Adults will have Wine and the Word at the Dorothy Lane Market in Springboro, 740 N. Main St., Springboro 45066 on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.. The Young Adult group is open to all 21 to 39 year olds and you do not have to be a member of the parish. One of many Friends of the Poor Walk held by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul around the country, this annual race benefits the Springfield SVdP's community Christmas basket distribution in Clark County. Police Chaplain Father Steve Angi will celebrate the 14th annual Archdiocese of Cincinnati Blue Mass for police, fire, and public safety workers and their families. Held around the country, "Blue Masses" are named for the traditional dress uniforms of these workers. The morning will begin at 10:45 with a blessing of vehicles and equipment outside the cathedral, and will be followed by a reception. People of all faiths welcome.
