ST. ANDREW DEANERY — The Comboni Missionaries opened their first Crib Scene to the public in 1947, and the display has been available to people in the Cincinnati area every Christmas season for 62 consecutive years.

Opening activities will be held Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. with a choir singing carols, music students playing Christmas songs on a variety of instrument, and all-things-Christmas face painting.

Guests can also enjoy a visit the Comboni Mission Museum of Cultures, an impressive collection of artifacts from areas in the world where the Comboni Missionaries serve; a special display of handmade Nativity scenes from around the world; and the hospitality room for Christmas shopping and snacks.

Admission is free, but donations and canned goods for Cincinnati’s poor are gratefully accepted. The center is located at 1318 Nagel Rd, Cincinnati.
