Press Release

Due to the extreme cold temperatures, the Dayton/Miami Valley Catholic Schools Week Mass scheduled for tomorrow, Jan. 29, has been cancelled.

“The frigid temperatures are expected to continue tomorrow morning, and we are anticipating continued school delays and/or closures,” said Dr. Jim Rigg, Superintendent of Catholic Schools and Director of Educational Services for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. “I apologize for any inconveniences that this may cause.”

Catholic school students, their teachers, and their communities throughout the 19-county Archdiocese of Cincinnati are celebrating the 40th annual Catholic Schools Week through February 1 under the theme “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.”

The Cincinnati Mass scheduled for Tuesday was also cancelled.
