A night of prayerful contemplation for Holy Week

As we prepare for Holy Week, our parish will host “Upper Room to the Tomb,” an evening of quiet prayer and reflection on the Passion of Our Lord.

During the evening, several sacred relics connected with the events of Christ’s suffering and death will be present for veneration. These holy reminders help us meditate on the Gospel and the depth of Christ’s love for us. The relics that will be present for veneration are:

Wood from the True Cross

Wood from the Table of the Last Supper

Fragment of marble from the Pillar of the scourging

Purple Garment draped over our Lord as he was mocked

Relic of the Holy Shroud of our Lord Jesus Christ

Through prayer and veneration, we walk spiritually with Christ from the Upper Room to the Tomb, preparing our hearts to enter more deeply into the mysteries we celebrate during Holy Week
