A Mass of Christian Burial for Precious Blood Father Paul Link was held on June 1 at St. Charles Center in Carthagena. Father Link, 78, died May 27.

A native of Coldwater, he entered the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in 1949 and was ordained in 1961.

Father Link ministered for many years in California.

He was elected provincial director of the Pacific province of the order in 1982. He also ministered in Arizona and Missiouri from 1996 until his retirement in 2000. Since that time he had made his home at St. Charles Center.

In addition to his ministries, Father Link was an author and community historian. His works included A Time to Sow and a Time to Reap, a biography of Precious Blood Father Patrick Hennebery, the found of the California province.

Father Link is survived by a brother, Jesuit Father Mark Link, and three sisters, Rose Mary Schmit, Gertrude Kiley, and Precious Blood Sister Carolyn Link.

Burial was in the community cemetery.
