A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Anna Marie Lammert was celebrated Feb. 28 in the Immaculate Conception Chapel at the congregation’s Delhi Township motherhouse. Sister Anna Marie, 89, died Feb. 23 at Mother Margaret Hall. She was a Sister of Charity for 69 years.

 

A native of Norwood, Sister Anna Marie earned a bachelor of arts degree in education from the College of Mount St. Joseph and a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Detroit. In the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, she served at St. Mary School in Greenville; the former St. Anthony School in Madisonville; and the former Holy Trinity School in Middletown. In addition, she served at schools in the dioceses of Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, Denver and Washington, D.C.

 

In 1984 Sister Anna Marie returned to the motherhouse to serve in her congregation’s business office. She also taught math to fifth and sixth graders for one year on the College of Mount St. Joseph campus. She retired in 1987 to serve the needs of residents in Mother Margaret Hall.

 

Interment was in the Sisters of Charity Cemetery.
