Sister Eileen Marie Wallace

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Mercy Eileen Marie Wallace was celebrated March 26 at St. Bernardine Home in Fremont. Sister Eileen Marie, 85, died March 23. She was a Sister of Mercy for 65 years.
A native of Cleveland, she entered the Sisters of Mercy in Cincinnati in 1945 and professed her perpetual vows in 1950. Sister Eileen Marie held a bachelor’s degree in education and philosophy from St. John College in Cleveland and a master’s in business administration from Notre Dame University.
The majority of Sister Eileen Marie’s years in ministry were spent in Morganfield, Ky., and Cincinnati, providing management of business offices or teaching basic business practices and bookkeeping. In 1993 she assumed the position of business office manager at McAuley Convent, a retirement center for the community.
Sister Eileen Marie is survived by her brother, William Wallace. Interment was in our Lady of the Pines Cemetery in Fremont.
