A Mass of Christian Burial for Precious Blood Sister Margery Schroeder was celebrated Jan. 27 at Salem Heights in Dayton. Sister Margery, 79, died Jan. 23 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. She had been a Sister of the Precious Blood for 62 years.

A native of Miller City, Ohio, Sister Margery entered her congregation on Aug. 14, 1949. Her ministry as a grade school teacher spanned 37 years and included assignments in Arizona, Indiana and Ohio. She went on to earn an LPN license. In 1997, Sister Margery retired in Cincinnati to serve in various volunteer positions.

Sister Margery is survived by her brothers, Omer, Samuel, Irvin and Delmar. Interment was in Salem Heights cemetery.
