A Mass of Christian Burial for Precious Blood Sister Mary Agnes Christine Mullen was celebrated Jan. 6 at Salem Heights in Dayton. Sister Agnes Christine, 90, died Jan. 3 at the Maria Joseph Center in Dayton. She had been a Sister of the Precious Blood for 61 years.

 

A native of Indianapolis, Sister Agnes Christine entered her community on Feb. 2, 1950. She was active in ministry for 46 years. For 23 of those years, she used her degree in business administration by service in the business and treasurer offices at the Sisters’ motherhouse and at the Maria Stein Shrine and Spiritual Center. She later worked part time at various offices in the Diocese of Dallas, while also caring for her aging parents who resided there. She retired to Salem Heights in 2007.

 

Sister Mary Christine is survived by her sister, Joan Panzenbeck, and three brothers, Precious Blood Father Bernard Mullen, Precious Blood Father Charles Mullen and Robert. Interment was in the Salem Heights cemetery.
