Sister Mary Casilda Obringer
A Mass of Christian Burial for Precious Blood Sister Mary Casilda Obringer was held Nov. 13 at Salem Heights Chapel in Dayton. A Sister of the Precious Blood for 69 years, Sister Casilda, 88, died Nov. 9 at Maria Joseph Center.
A native of Burkettsville, Sister Casilda worked in food service at seminaries, schools and senior living facilities. She served as a cook and food supervisor in Cincinnati, Canton and Dayton; Rensselaer and Rome City, Ind.; San Luis Rey, Calif.; Denver, Colo. and Flint, Mich. She later learned the printing trade and worked as a printer for the Maria Joseph Living Care Center.
Sister Casilda is survived by her sisters, Alvira Kaiser and Dorothy Denney, and brothers, Edward, Jerome and Carl and Ralph
Interment was in Salem Heights Cemetery.
