A Mass of Christian Burial for Franciscan Sister Yvonne Conrad was celebrated May 29 at the motherhouse chapel of the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg, Ind. Sister Yvonne, 78, died May 25 at St. Clare Hall.

A native of Hamilton, Sister Yvonne entered the Oldenburg Franciscan community in September 1954 and professed her final vows in 1960. After a brief time teaching, Sister Yvonne entered the nursing program at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. After graduation, she ministered as director of the congregation’s infirmary. She later became involved in pastoral ministry and religious education, serving at various parishes in Indiana.

Sister Yvonne is survived by her sister, Lorraine Snodgrass, and her brother, Celestine. Interment was in the congregation’s cemetery.
