We all know Cincinnati summers can be extremely hot and humid. We see the dangerous and uncomfortable impact firsthand during our home visits. Apartments and smaller homes often have poor ventilation and offer no retreat from the scorching heat. Without access to a fan or air conditioner, children with asthma, the elderly with respiratory issues and people burdened by illness face a significant health risk.
St. Vincent de Paul’s Fan & A/C Distribution, presented by Braun Heating & Air Conditioning, alleviates the risk of dangerous health conditions by providing free fans and air conditioners to neighbors in need across Hamilton County.

In 2021, 1,628 neighbors accessed a fan or air conditioner through St. Vincent de Paul. St. Vincent de Paul expects the need to be great again this year, as many neighbors face rising costs for housing, transportation and many consumer goods.
