Su Casa’s Annual Banquet honors Fr. Joe Nelson and Margaret Singer

Founding leaders Franciscan Father Joe Nelson OFM and Margaret Singer were honored with the Legacy Award at the Su Casa Hispanic Center of Cincinnati marked the 20th anniversary of its founding April 27 at its annual banquet at the Cintas Center, Xavier University.

At left is program M.C. Diana Maria Lara and Catholic Charities Executive Director Ted Berg.

Among honorees at the fund-raising dinner were: Jorge Seda, Lifetime Achievement Award; Carol Green, Volunteer of the year; Anne. E. Lucas, Immigrants’ Advocate; Mary Jo Montenegro-Miller, Angel for Unaccompanied Minors; and Cincinnati Dental Oral Health Foundation and CincySmiles Foundation, Organizations of the Year.
